September memory verse...a little late!

I'm 12 days short of posting this - sorry everyone! September is here!  Which means... my brother is getting married!  Don't worry, there will be pictures as soon as the blessed event is over and I'm done uploading them. :-) So, now, for the verse.  This month my verse is Psalm 33:21. "For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name". KJV "For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name." NKJV "For in Him doth our heart rejoice, For in His holy name we have trusted."  YLT Are you rejoicing in Him?  Have you trusted in Him today? Blessings, Sarah

August memory verse

Image
Hey everyone! Sorry I'm late in posting this - as of right now I have a chest cold/sinus infection that I am getting over.  How I got sick is a long  story that I may share one day.  :-) So it's August!  This month came in like a lion for me - isn't that supposed  to be March, though? "March comes in like a lion, what else? Still the snow never melts." - I'm singing the line from the musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brother. *giggles*   This months verse was something I didn't know I needed.  God has a way of doing that, doesn't He?  Giving us something at a certain time that we don't think we'll ever need, but then something happens that reminds us of that "thing" the Lord gave us and we are almost instantly humbled? Yeah, that's me and I find myself doing a lot of face-palms! I have to remind myself that His timing is always  right. That's what I feel like most times.  I'm sure some can relate. Back to t...

June memory verse

Image
I apologize for being two days late in posting this!  Some crazy goodness has been happening around here - but that's for another post (note: it may take me a while to write).  It's June!!  Can you believe it?  Where did May go, people?  I know not... It's time for another memory verse post. :) If you are just now reading this and want to jump in, then you can go back and read my  first  post, then you can read my  latest  post in May. :) So June, besides coming in faster than I thought you would, I am glad that you are here. :)  There are things I am looking forward to this month and this year; all of them are wrapped up in God's goodness and mercy. The verse that I am memorizing for this month is Psalm 105:43, which says, "And he brought forth his people with joy, and  his chosen with gladness" Even though God's people went through SO much (most, if not all of it was due to their disbelief and lack of faith), H...

New moth, new verse

Image
It is April (if you already haven't had a chance to take a glance at your calendar)!  This is random, but for some reason when each new moth rolls around I associate it with a color - weird, I know - and this is the list of months typed in the colors that I associate them with: January  February   March  April  May  June  July  August  September  October  November  December I know, it's really weird!  :p Back the post. :-) Part of my new year's resolution was to memorize a verse each month and reflect on it throughout the month. I am on my 4th memory verse of 2014!  :-) How did I decide which verses to memorize?  Well, my parents got my sisters and I a new, beautiful calender at the end of 2013 that was full of Psalm of praise. Each month has a verse, so I thought, "why not just memorize the verse that comes with each month?" That is what I am doing and it proves to be ...
