It's tough, isn't it?

Sarah~Photography
I know that I do a lot of posts that talk about hardships - I think that's because God is still testing me.  We all have days where we must "vent", and this blog is where I do just that.
A dear friend of mine reminded me that steel must be pounded over and over again in order to come forth as the precious metal that it is.  Why does it seem like the pounding never stops?  Or it does, but only for a moment?

On of the things that God is teaching me (through a Bible study* some of the ladies in my church are doing) is how I should react to these difficulties that God is guiding me through: do I react with a pity-me/bitter attitude or with a gentle, submissive spirit?  I don't know about you but the later is much harder...for me that is.

I have to keep reminding myself this truth:
Life is tough, but God is bigger.  He is the Great Creator and Conductor, and He knows what He is doing.

I hope that I am not boring all of you with this post - I have to remind myself these truths because it is a daily task; not something that changes over night and then, bam! you're done.  This is a daily task of surrendering to His will - which is hard.

Blessings in His Holy Name,

  1. “Look, I go forward, but He is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceive Him; when He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; when He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him. But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:8-10

Yes, our great hope when the going gets painful and we feel we can’t take another step... I'll be praying for you and whatever He's taking you through right now, Sarah.

    1. No, I didn't do anything different - not sure why I can see this picture and not the others though...maybe because this one is mine and I didn't get it from the internet?
