July memory verse

Okay...I'm back!  It's been too long - I know, part of that is due to my laziness and the other part is because I was on a mini vacation - which has a very amusing story that I'll share in another post.

 So July is here!  When, like when did this happen?  I was just getting used to the idea of June - even though that month was HOT!! 

 Psalm 113: 3 is my next verse to memorize for this year. Though I must 100% honest, last month's verse was hard for me because I wasn't very diligent about studying it or meditating on it.  Lord help me this month!  Give me the desire to want to know Thee and Thy Word.

 Here it is. Psalm 113:3

 "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised." KJV

 "From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD's name is to be praised." NKJV

 "From the rising of the sun unto its going in, Praised is the name of Jehovah." YLT

New moth, new verse

It is April (if you already haven't had a chance to take a glance at your calendar)!  This is random, but for some reason when each new moth rolls around I associate it with a color - weird, I know - and this is the list of months typed in the colors that I associate them with: January  February   March  April  May  June  July  August  September  October  November  December I know, it's really weird!  :p Back the post. :-) Part of my new year's resolution was to memorize a verse each month and reflect on it throughout the month. I am on my 4th memory verse of 2014!  :-) How did I decide which verses to memorize?  Well, my parents got my sisters and I a new, beautiful calender at the end of 2013 that was full of Psalm of praise. Each month has a verse, so I thought, "why not just memorize the verse that comes with each month?" "What God hath joined..." Part 1

So this post has been a long time coming - my brother and his new bride's wedding pictures!! The wedding took place in the beautiful sate of Kentucky (to which I had never visited until September of last year) the first weekend in May. Here are some pictures of the day before the Big Day. My sisters and their new friend enjoying lunch outside  while making silly faces. :) This was walking into the room in which they were to cut the cake - beautiful, isn't it?  The floors creaked when walked upon. Isn't this just lovely? My new sister in-law painted them herself - and did a fantastic job.
