Have yourself a merry little...

Image
It's that time of the year!  Time for hot cocoa, blazing fires, and snowshoes - depending on what part of the world you are from, that is. :p Time for families to get together and enjoy one another...and in my home, enjoy one another with fellowship and lots of yummy, forever old recipes that make the most delicious food! :) Hoping that each and every one of you enjoy this time of the year while it lasts, because before we know it, it'll be 2015!!  Lord, where has this year gone?  I seems that just yesterday it was January and I was trying to grasp 2014, but then again, it feels like a lifetime ago.  Maybe it's the whole "getting older" thing...I don't know, maybe. Lord be with each of us as we venture into this week.  Be with our families and loved ones who we aren't able to spend this holiday with.  Merry Christmas, everyone!! With love, Sarah

Okay, this is funny

Okay, this IS funny!  I mistakenly posted  this  not an hour ago.   The post I "posted" that I was talking about (the 2014 Recap) somehow ended up back in my edit box!  It's no longer "viewable" on my feed and I'm not sure how that happened.  :-p  Too funny, ya'll!

Mistake...

So I unknowingly posted my "2014 Recap" post before it was ready. :-p  I am still in the process of editing it and somehow I guess I clicked the "Publish" button.  Oh well! Read and weep for it's a raw post and I'm still not done with it. Sorry for the mistake. But in the meantime....I'm back to the blogging world and doing better (I plan to explain in another post). God bless everyone!

2014 Recapitulation

It ' s that time of year again!  If you missed last years post, click  here  to catch up.  I try and do one of these every year but this year it seemed to just creep up on me without my knowledge ( it didn't help that I've been having major internet problems!). I will be sharing the verses I memorized with each month and what God blessed me with during that month, a sweet memory, or just something interesting I learned!  Enjoy! January  "O praise the LORD all ye nations, praise  him all ye people: For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD." Psalm 117:1,2 The year beings!  My sister and I were extremely busy working.  February  "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105 One year I stopped using shampoo and started using my own, homemade product. P.S. It didn't last long... March  "Praise ye the LORD

Prayer

Image
My dear friends, I must ask you all for prayer.  I cannot share the reason as to why (maybe sometime I will), but I do ask fellow sisters and brothers in Christ for prayer. My sister is writing/posting this for me because I've chosen to stay away from computers and the like. The Scripture I am sharing has become my hearts prayer before God; it has been a blessing to me and I wanted to share it with you. Thanks in advance, Sarah Psa 37:1  A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.   Psa 37:2  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.  Psa 37:3  Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Psa 37:4  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Psa 37:5  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.  Psa 37:6  And he shall bring forth thy ri

Reflections reveal whom we are

I just wanted to share some Scripture the Lord has used in me in the last few hours. Num 15:39  And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:  Jer 3:17  At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.  Jer 13:10  This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.  Jer 18:12  And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.  Prov 27:19 As in water face reflects  face, So a man's hear

November memory verse

Image
So it's November! Can any else believe that we only have one more month until 2015?  How crazy is that? There is SO much going on in my life at this point in the year; mostly it has to do with work and keeping very busy - and active might I add.  :)  On to the memory verse!  It's another Psalm - the whole year's worth of memory verses are out the book of Psalms.  I'm not sure if I shared that with you before.  My verse to memorize this month is Psalm 75:1. [[To the chief Musician, Altaschith, A Psalm  or  Song of Asaph.]] Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks,  unto thee  do we give thanks: for  that  thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. Psalm 75:1 (KJV) To the Overseer. -- 'Destroy not.' -- A Psalm of Asaph. -- A Song. We have given thanks to Thee, O God, We have given thanks, and near  is  Thy name, They have recounted Thy wonders. Psalm 75:1 (YLT) May you be blessed today, and tomorrow as you seek His wor

Deny yourself

Image
"And he said to them  all, If any man  will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Luke 9:23 "Deny yourself?  Now wait a minute, that's not what I signed up for when I became a Christian.  I thought that every thing would be just peachy; fine and dandy, that Jesus would make every thing better and easier - that He would fix my every problem." I regret to inform you that that is not the case. What does "denying yourself" actually mean? Well, for one thing it doesn't mean "once you take this pill all your temptations and hardships will just vanish", it is foolish to even think that. It frustrates me when Christians assume that as soon as they accept Christ as their savior, that all their issues will simply just go away.  Yes, we are a new creation in Him ( "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are past away: behold all things are become new." - 2 Cor.

Sorry for the delay...

Hello all! I apologize for the delay in my postings.  I'm having computer issues that's prohibiting me from posting pictures. :(  Sorry - I'm trying to get the problem fixed as soon as possible! Hope everyone is well and enjoying their week though! :) God bless, Sarah

I can hear the bells {Part 1}

So, the post has arrived! YAY!  Maybe the title of this post should be "So it began" because I'm sharing pictures of the week leading up the blessed event.   Besides this being an emotional ( hey, my brother is getting married!) trip, it was a wonderful time spent with family, dear friends, and now new family.  I am so very thankful for the time God blessed us with - even though we all ended up getting that nasty cold!   After going through all the pictures, I realized that this is going to have to be 3 separate posts - I hope you guys don't mind.    All the credit for these pictures goes to my sister, Abigail.  She did a wonderful job.  Enjoy! That steer's name is Bosco and he's a big one! These donkey's were SO cute, I wanted to take one home. I loved watching the horses eat on this chilly morning. Funny faces before church...
