A prince or servant of the King?

Image
"Someday my prince will come." I can't begin to tell you how many times I have heard this phrase over the years, and how many teens and tweens would be wearing it on their t-shirts.  I'll admit it, I wanted one of those tees in the worst way.  Most girls I talked with (when we were talking about future husbands) said that they wanted their Prince Charming and that they wanted to be Cinderella.  As I've grown up I've realized how grateful I am that God made me different.  Not better - for I am a sinner just like everyone else - just different in the things that I wanted out of life.    "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23  ( Underlines added by me) "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10  However, while most girls I knew wanted to marry Cinderella's Prince Charming...   I'll admit, he is a cutie! ...I wanted to marry him: Please don't laug

Literary Heroine Blog Party

Hey ya'll,  If you've been following my blogging, then you would have read/seen  this post .  Here are (as promised) my answers to these  Questions . :-)  Have fun reading through them; there are a lot!  1. Introduce yourself! Divulge your life's vision, likes, dislikes, aspirations, or something completely random! Hi!  My name is Sarah - though, "could you please call me Cordelia?"   I enjoy baking, crocheting, knitting, running (though I'm not really that  fast), dancing ( "even when one's partner is barely tolerable." ), teaching Sunday school (this truly is a JOY), spending time with my family, and READING! Something random? I've always wanted a cool, clever nick-name. But with my name, one never really stuck.    My life vision?  The highest calling of honor there is - to be wife and mother.   If you know me at all, then you know that I quote Anne of Green Gables and Pride & Prejudice quite often, hence the quot

My Hope Is Built

I may have shared this hymn before but I am not sure. Either way, I want to share it again. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand. When Darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand. His oath, His covenant, His blood supports me in the whelming flood. When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand. When He shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in Him be found! Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne! On Christ the

Thoughts

Okay, I would like others thoughts on these two blog postings that I've come across through social media. This  is one. And  this  one. I've read through both and I know how I feel about them, but I want to know what y'all think.  What are your thoughts?  What do you think?  You don't have to leave a comment, you can email me your thoughts if you want. Blessings in His Holy Name, Sarah

Heroine Blog Party

I am thoroughly looking forward, with much anticipation, to this .  I have been a fan for a while - though I've never done it.  What I love about The Literary Heroine Blog Party is that it encourages the expansion of one's mind - in the literal form that is.  I actually found this young ladies blog by this party. If any of y'all want to attend, just click the link above! :-) Blessings, Sarah P.S.  I will be working on my questions until the time of the party (2-16-28-14), so keep a look out! ;-)
