Have yourself a merry little...

 It's that time of the year!  Time for hot cocoa, blazing fires, and snowshoes - depending on what part of the world you are from, that is. :p

 Time for families to get together and enjoy one another...and in my home, enjoy one another with fellowship and lots of yummy, forever old recipes that make the most delicious food! :)

 Hoping that each and every one of you enjoy this time of the year while it lasts, because before we know it, it'll be 2015!!  Lord, where has this year gone?  I seems that just yesterday it was January and I was trying to grasp 2014, but then again, it feels like a lifetime ago.  Maybe it's the whole "getting older" thing...I don't know, maybe.

 Lord be with each of us as we venture into this week.  Be with our families and loved ones who we aren't able to spend this holiday with.

New moth, new verse

It is April (if you already haven't had a chance to take a glance at your calendar)!  This is random, but for some reason when each new moth rolls around I associate it with a color - weird, I know - and this is the list of months typed in the colors that I associate them with: January  February   March  April  May  June  July  August  September  October  November  December I know, it's really weird!  :p Back the post. :-) Part of my new year's resolution was to memorize a verse each month and reflect on it throughout the month. I am on my 4th memory verse of 2014!  :-) How did I decide which verses to memorize?  Well, my parents got my sisters and I a new, beautiful calender at the end of 2013 that was full of Psalm of praise. Each month has a verse, so I thought, "why not just memorize the verse that comes with each month?" "What God hath joined..." Part 1

So this post has been a long time coming - my brother and his new bride's wedding pictures!! The wedding took place in the beautiful sate of Kentucky (to which I had never visited until September of last year) the first weekend in May. Here are some pictures of the day before the Big Day. My sisters and their new friend enjoying lunch outside  while making silly faces. :) This was walking into the room in which they were to cut the cake - beautiful, isn't it?  The floors creaked when walked upon. Isn't this just lovely? My new sister in-law painted them herself - and did a fantastic job.
