"What God hath joined..." Part 1

So this post has been a long time coming - my brother and his new bride's wedding pictures!!

The wedding took place in the beautiful sate of Kentucky (to which I had never visited until September of last year) the first weekend in May.

Here are some pictures of the day before the Big Day.

This was walking into the room in which they were to cut the cake -
beautiful, isn't it?  The floors creaked when walked upon.

Isn't this just lovely? My new sister in-law painted them
herself - and did a fantastic job.

This is the back of the building.  It was actually an old house
that it now used for a woman's club.

I love that this was the bachelor "party" - nothing complicated, just
a bunch of family and friends having a good old time together.    



And now for the wedding rehearsal (all the credit goes to my sister who took these lovely pictures).

Everything went SO well on Friday - everyone worked so well together!  I am beyond excited to share some of their wedding pictures in the next post. :)

    Hello Sarah dear! Oh, thank you so much for sharing pictures from the special event with all of us...I have such a weakness for weddings and could look at photographs all day...*happy sigh*...
    What a sweet couple your brother and sister-in-love make!
    The hall where their reception was held is beyond gorgeous and the flowers - so beautiful and feminine!

New moth, new verse

It is April (if you already haven't had a chance to take a glance at your calendar)!  This is random, but for some reason when each new moth rolls around I associate it with a color - weird, I know - and this is the list of months typed in the colors that I associate them with: January  February   March  April  May  June  July  August  September  October  November  December I know, it's really weird!  :p Back the post. :-) Part of my new year's resolution was to memorize a verse each month and reflect on it throughout the month. I am on my 4th memory verse of 2014!  :-) How did I decide which verses to memorize?  Well, my parents got my sisters and I a new, beautiful calender at the end of 2013 that was full of Psalm of praise. Each month has a verse, so I thought, "why not just memorize the verse that comes with each month?" I was tagged in the Sunshine Award by the lovely  Heidi  over at her blog, Along the Brandywire: A Bit of All the Rest. I may sound like a real geek, but I love these kinds of things; the questions, the answers, every thing about them just makes me smile. :-) So, here are my questions and answers. :-) 1. If you could time travel, would you rather visit medieval England or 1800's Paris? I would have to say Paris in the 1800's.  I'd love to just walk around and observe the fashion and buildings. 2. For relaxation: G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, or neither? Well, seeing as how I've never read any of G.K. Chesterton's work, I'm gonna  go with C.S. Lewis.  I think even if I knew who G.K.
