Jesus Paid it All - Hymn for April

It was a goal of mine this month to get this post out no later than the first week of April.  For those of you who have been faithful in keeping up with my little corner on the web, I appreciate you!

So. It's April! Can you believe it? We are already into the FOURTH month of 2023! Lord, where has this time gone?

As I was preparing for this months hymn, I didn't even think that there would be a correlation to Easter. *cue duh Sarah moment*

This particular hymn was written by Elvina M. Hall on the fly-leaf of the New Lute of Zion, in the choir loft of the Methodist Episcopal Church, in Baltimore, in the spring of 1865.

I hear the Savior say, "Thy strength indeed is small, Child of weakness, watch and pray, Find in Me thine all in all."

Refrain: Jesus paid it all, All t Him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

Lord, now indeed I find, Thy pow'r and Thine alone, can change the leper's spots, And melt the heart of stone. [Refrain]

For nothing good have I, Where-by Thy grace to claim; I'll wash my garments white, In the blood of Calv'ry's Lamb. [Refrain]

And when, before the throne, I stand in Him complete, "Jesus died my soul to save," My lips shall still repeat. [Refrain]

Ah! How sweet the blessed hope we have in Christ who conquered death!
