Simple Things
Why hello.
How art thou, my friends? Life has been a blur lately. How are you?
I am doing better than I deserve, and by God's grace I am living each day (though I could learn a thing or two about waiting well).
As I sit in this new and exciting season, I have been trying to be purposeful in how what I do with the time I have been given. As many of you know, I adore flowers. Like they're my jam! Last year I collected a gallon sized bag of seeds and saved them for the purpose of planting again this year. So, as soon as the weather became warm enough (doesn't take THAT long here in Florida, lol), I prepared the soil and got to planting! Zinnias, Marigolds, Cosmos, Sweetpeas, Dahlias, Texas Blue Bonnets, Poppies, Daisys, Black-eyed Susans, and SO many more. Oh and my mint. Y'all, I love my mint! I had three containers of it that needed to go in the ground and thankfully, they're now thriving in the Florida dirt. *cue a happy dance*
Planting, weeding, and watering daily as brought to my mind just how exciting it will be for me to create a lovely space like this in my new home. Lord, it has been such a dream of mine to create a little haven of peace for my future family. O prepare me for it!
And now as the wedding planning is in full bloom, the excitement grows! Not only for that special day, but also for the flowers that I know will come up soon. Ah the joys of simple things!
Thank you, O Lord for the gift of life and flowers!
